1963，電影「8 ½」問世，導演費里尼化人生為幻夢，用黑白膠卷承載他色彩繽紛的奇想。 其後五十年，8 ½影響了眾多影像創作者，也成了無數相關科系學生的視覺啟蒙。 格林納威因此拍了「8 ½女人」，百老匯也將電影改編成音樂劇「華麗年代」 因為費里尼，因為8 ½，讓世界多認識了一種自由的姿態。 2012，幾個熱愛影像的台南人，偶然發現巷弄裡閒置多年的老宅與美軍宿舍。 年邁的屋主提起當年新居落成時的風華，眼裡仍有驕傲的光彩。 那一年，也是1963，一個遍歷滄桑，卻又宛若新生的年代。 於是，因為這些美好的巧合，相隔五十年後，8 ½在台南開始說起了新的故事。 旅行與創作的本質相近，往往隨著旅途中遇見的人事物而改變自己， 我們決定把旅行生活當成藝術創作，去實驗一個8 ½的跨界平台。 那是七個旅店房間，一個設計工作室，還有半個延伸至戶外的咖啡廚房。 從建築、攝影、電影、音樂、插畫、平面、花藝、文學到美食。 從時間到空間，從身體到心靈。 透過不同領域的房間去閱讀空間的主人。 這裡適合細品，適合漫遊。可以休憩，可以流浪。自由其實來自你的選擇。 2013，8 ½ 藝術旅店正式發表，每個旅人的停留應當是美好並有意義的。

821space, a Dream Reincarnated as Time and Space In 1963，Federico Fellini transformed his dreams into 8 ½ (Italian: Otto e Mezzo), a black-and-white movie that became one of the most influential masterpieces to inspire many artists as well as art students who were eager to make their own creative dreams a reality. Fast-forward to the year 2012, a couple of art lovers in Tainan, Taiwan found the perfect place to realize their shared dream: a space for art and those who loves art. It is an old US Army dormitory located in a quiet ally, far away from the zooming traffic on the main street. The house emanates an aura of old time grandeur even after passing a time full of changes and transformations. Coincidentally, the house was built in 1963, the same year Fellini made 8 ½. Fifty years later, in a place thousands of miles away from Rimini, another dream was born, ready to unfold its own stories. In 821space, art is a way of life, and we dedicate the space to art in various forms. As our guest, you are welcomed to explore your creative side through the themes in our 8 ½ spaces — seven guestrooms, one design studio, and a half outdoor café.— and immerse in architecture, photography, movie, illustration, graphic design, floral arrangement, literature, and gourmet food. 821space, 時空を越えて生まれ変わった夢

フェデリコ・フェリーニは、1963 年に彼の夢を『8 1/2(原題:Otto e Mezzo)』というモノクロ 映画へと変貌させました。この映画は多くのアーティストだけではなく、創造性に満ちた夢を実 現したい美大生にとっても、最も影響力を持つ作品となりました。

時は進んで 2012 年、台湾の台南に住むアートを愛する人々が、彼らが共有する夢を実現するた めに最適の場所を見いだしました。それはアートと、アートを愛する人々のための空間です。元々 は米軍の宿舎で、表通りの喧噪から離れた落ち着いた通りに位置しています。その家屋は、幾多 の時を重ねてもなお、古き時代の趣きを残しています。この家屋は、偶然にもフェリーニが『8 1/2』を制作した 1963 年に建てられました。半世紀を経て、リミニから遠くはなれた場所でもう 一つの夢が生まれ、自身の物語を紡ごうとしているのです。

821space ではアートは一つの生き方であり、その空間は様々なアートに捧げられています。宿泊 客の皆さんは、8 1/2 の空間-7 つの客室、デザインスタジオ、屋外にテラスを備えたカフェ- が提供するテーマを通して、自身の創造的な一面に触れられるのです。また、建築、写真、映画、 イラスト、グラフィックデザイン、フラワー・アレンジメント、文学、そして滋味溢れる料理を 楽しむことができます。
